  • The Horror Update & Previous Lore Recap(0'003'01)
Dress to Impress released a Halloween-inspired update that transforms cuty dressing rooms into haunted houses and hospitals filled with monsters.
    • NPC nail lady Lana joined a cult run by the villain Agamemnon after struggling to pay medical bills from a terminal illness • Agamemnon planned to sacrifice Lana and create doppelganger copies of her • The story parallels Greek mythology with Agamemnon from the Trojan War myth
How and why Agamemnon's plan would allow him to escape an otherworldly dimension remained unclear until this new update.
The Halloween update clarifies who the real Lana is, what Agamemnon's true plan is, and reveals the future of Dress to Impress through voice-acted chapters with collectibles and a boss battle.
  • Lana's Replacement & The Cage Discovery(3'015'36)
The salon is surrounded by moving boxes with a hiring ad for a new nail technician. Agamemnon livestreamed that he eliminated the doppelganger at Lana's desk and that Lana is not feeling well.
Lena Does Nails replaces Lana at the salon. Her Roblox bio states she always wanted to work for Agamemnon's crew and that Lana was in her way.
A secret room next to the salon contains Lana trapped in a cage. Her diary entry reveals all previous entries were deceptions planted by Lena Does Nails from the very beginning.
Lena has been deceiving players and removing the real Lana to take her place, acting as Agamemnon's agent in the cult.
  • The Three-Chapter Update Structure(5'366'00)
The update features a portal in the intermission area leading to three chapters with collectathons, platforming, a boss battle, and full voice acting.
Players journey through a dark forest to Lana's house in the past, before she worked for Dress to Impress. They collect items to help Lana, who is ill.
The hospital where Lana was treated, where Lana's diary entries reveal the true nature of her illness and its origin.
A boss battle confrontation with Lena, who transforms into a demon using Agamemnon's powers while a song plays that reveals Agamemnon's entire backstory and motivations.
  • The Poisoning & The Apple Revelation(6'009'36)
Lana's illness was not terminal cancer but rather poison deliberately given to her by Agamemnon to force her into debt and make her vulnerable to manipulation.
Lana kept being called an apple throughout previous chapters. In Chapter 2, her diary reveals Agamemnon gave her an apple that contained something living and crawling inside her stomach, and she can never eat or look at an apple again.
    • The forbidden apple from the Tree of Knowledge in the Adam and Eve story parallels Lana's experience • Eve was tempted to eat the apple, promised she would be like God, but was cursed instead • Lana was given an apple, possibly promised something, but was poisoned and became the vessel for a parasite
Lana is literally the vessel for the apple's parasitic contents, which is why Agamemnon called her The Vessel. She eventually got cured but was left financially bankrupt and susceptible to his control.
  • The Boss Battle & The Song Revelation(9'3611'00)
Lena calls on Agamemnon's powers to transform into a demon for a boss fight. During her transformation, a song plays that contains the key to understanding Agamemnon's entire motivation and backstory.
    • The song reveals a story of betrayal between a goddess who was immortal and a jealous warrior • Agamemnon snuck into a palace and consumed something that gave him immortality • He was caught and banished to a fortress by the gods • His goal from the start has been to obtain revenge
Once Lana is freed and falls asleep, Agamemnon lurks in the corner of her room and says nothing is over until he says it's over, and that not even the gods of Olympus can stop what is coming.
Players collect a Greek tales book in Chapter 1, and Lana references reading it in Chapter 2 to learn about Agamemnon. The game is not just following Greek mythology patterns—it is literally retelling the same stories.
  • The Goddess Athena & The Golden Apple(11'0014'00)
Beating the final chapter unlocks a reward featuring a Greek-style tunic, a bird, and a shield. The shield is called an aegis, bearing the face of a gorgon like Medusa, used only by Zeus and the goddess Athena.
    • Chapter 1 paintings depict Athena, including a cropped version of the famous Greek painting Athena and the Centaur • Another painting depicts Athena with her owl, her animal symbol • Athena is the goddess being talked about in Agamemnon's story of betrayal
The Badge from The Fortress Game references the Judgment of Paris, where an apple addressed to the fairest was disputed between Aphrodite, Athena, and Hera. Paris chose Aphrodite, who bribed him with Helen of Sparta, starting the Trojan War and causing Athena to feel betrayed.
The golden apple Agamemnon consumed came from the Hesperides and granted immortality. This is the same golden apple from the apple of discord myth that caused the Trojan War and Athena's betrayal.
  • The Blood Moon Sacrifice & The Curse(14'0017'00)
Chapter 3 reveals tonight is the full blood moon, and Lana's soul will soon be completely gone. A blood moon (total lunar eclipse) was a sign in Greek mythology that the gods were angry and demanded the death of a king.
    • Kings would have a peasant stand in as a substitute sacrifice to avoid their own death • Agamemnon orchestrated everything to use Lana as a substitute sacrifice for his own death • He created multiple doppelganger copies of Lana just in case one sacrifice wasn't enough
    • Agamemnon's great-grandfather tried to feed his son to the gods, cursed by Zeus to the Underworld • His grandfather was cursed by a man he threw off a cliff • His father was killed by his brother's son • The real Agamemnon was cursed for not giving armor of Achilles and was killed by his own wife
The song lyric 'His life was doomed right from the start' refers to this multi-generational curse. Agamemnon was cursed by Zeus, forced to sacrifice his daughter, betrayed by Athena in the Trojan War, and inevitably faced death and betrayal at every turn.
  • The Tragic Villain & Greater Good Argument(17'0019'09)
Agamemnon is sick of being abused by the gods. He stole a golden apple to become immortal so he could take revenge on the deities that have ruined his life from birth.
    • The Greek gods sleep with people's wives, kill their own children, and send people into murderous rages • They don't care who or what they destroy as long as it amuses them or satisfies their egos • They are selfish and destructive, abusing their power without consequence
While Lana is innocent and it seems unfair for her to die for Agamemnon's revenge, without immortality he has no chance against these gods. Using the logic that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, Lana's sacrifice may be necessary for the greater good.
This appears to be the final explanation from the Dress to Impress creators, though they reserve the right to release another update that reveals everything wasn't real.
