Hope, a highly-ranked Vietnamese Age of Empires player, faces off against Mat, a German player, in a match that turns out to be the strangest of his life.

The map is highly unusual: both players spawn on a small island and must race to colonize the central continent.

Mat's only chance to survive is to spot the incoming rush early and have time to build defensive structures.

It's very odd to gather stone right at the start of a match.

The only reason to harvest stone from the beginning is to build a castle far too early to produce very strong units.

Spotting the stone quarry immediately exposes the opponent's hidden strategy.

Mat's scout ship misses the stone quarry by only 1 meter.
