Frostpunk : il fait beau demain ?

The sun has stopped functioning and the world is covered in snow. London becomes uninhabitable and resembles Vladivostok in December. The inhabitants must abandon the capital.

• Departure with a stolen locomotive and 80 people from the neighborhood • Several weeks of wandering through the now-frozen countryside • Discovery of a massive crater containing an enormous steel generator

The group collects coal left behind by previous teams, loads it into the generator, and an engineer powers up the machine to produce the camp's first light and heat.

The group splits into teams to build tents around the generator. For the first time in a long while, they can gather around a fire.

The engineers create a network of pipes to circulate heat from the generator across dozens of meters, forming warm zones where workshops, homes, and buildings can be constructed.

The first expedition finds 20 people nearby, multiplying the need for food and heat. The question becomes: can they build a city before dying of hunger or cold?

A group of Londoners wishes to return to London. They begin gathering and writing inscriptions urging others to abandon the cause. Their numbers grow daily.

The leader understands that order alone is not enough. People need hope to stay. He decides to use propaganda and motivational messages to strengthen confidence.

After three weeks of intense work, propaganda and military presence reduce the rebellion's ranks. The last fifteen Londoners decide to leave, likely accepting their inevitable death in the blizzard.

A week after the Londoners' departure, the city is thriving. The granaries fill up, new mines produce enough coal, and temperatures of -30 become almost normal.

Refugees arrive speaking of an impending apocalypse. An explorer from another colony, Nansen, allegedly ordered them to flee. Columns of more than 200 refugees converge on the city.

The leader wonders if he can welcome 200+ refugees, which would double the population in days. Many are sick or weakened. He decides to welcome everyone despite the risks.

The engineers announce the arrival of a massive storm from the east. Forecasted temperatures will reach -110 degrees. The chief engineer even suggests evacuation, knowing there is no escape from the storm.

Citizens accept the draconian orders because they understand they are all in the same boat. They trust the leader who shares their sacrifices and does not seek to enrich himself.
