L’éducation au développement durable, c’est permettre à chacun de devenir acteur de la transition écologique et solidaire : Par une multiplicité d’actions de terrain, de projets, d’expérimentations, de démarches pédagogiques qui informent, sensibilisent, forment, éduquent à tous les âges aux enjeux de développement durable et de la transition écologique. En proposant une compréhension systémique des différentes thématiques du développement durable : eau, mobilité, consommation, alimentation, énergie, climat, cohésion sociale, réduction des inégalités, déchets, biodiversité, risques, etc.

Education for sustainable development means enabling everyone to become an agent of ecological and solidarity transition: Through a multiplicity of grassroots actions, projects, experiments, and educational approaches that inform, raise awareness, train, and educate people of all ages on sustainable development and ecological transition issues. By offering a systemic understanding of the various themes of sustainable development: water, mobility, consumption, food, energy, climate, social cohesion, reducing inequality, waste, biodiversity, risks, etc.

Education for sustainable development is part of the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG): "ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all".
2030 Agenda Roadmap
It is also one of the priorities in France's roadmap for the 2030 Agenda: "Build on education and lifelong learning to enable changes in behavior and ways of life suited to the world we need to build and to the challenges of sustainable development".

New forms of information dissemination, digital and audiovisual, help enrich this knowledge, driven by a multitude of actors.
